Corruption raid on President Boluarte's home

According to reports in the national press, police entered Boluarte's home in the capital, Lima, accompanied by prosecutors to search for luxury watches that were allegedly not declared.

No detailed statement has been made by authorities so far regarding the search, which lasted approximately 5 hours.

Due to the lack of permission to enter the property, security forces broke the lock on the door of the house following instructions from the prosecutor's office.

Information was shared that President Boluarte was not at home during the police raid.

"I AM ANGRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED"

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen reacted to the raid in a statement, saying, "I am angry about what happened; what took place tonight constitutes a disrespect to the President and the office she represents."

The prosecutor's office, which has been conducting an investigation for some time within the framework of the corruption probe dubbed "Rolexgate," is investigating allegations that Boluarte engaged in illicit enrichment.
