Critical assessment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Lebanon: 'A new wave of migration...'
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized Israel's ground offensive into Lebanon as an 'unlawful attempt at occupation.' Turkey emphasized that this attack must end and that Israeli troops must withdraw.
Stating that Israel's ground attacks on Lebanon violate the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed the situation as an unlawful attempt at occupation. The Ministry also warned that this occupation attempt could lead to a new wave of migration.
The written statement from the Ministry included the following remarks:
'Israel's violation of this country's sovereignty and territorial integrity by launching a ground attack on Lebanon is an unlawful attempt at occupation. This attack must end immediately, and Israeli soldiers must withdraw from Lebanese territory.'
It was stated that the United Nations (UN) Security Council must fulfill the requirements of international law and take the necessary measures against this attack aimed at the occupation of Lebanon.

Lebanon reported last weekend that more than 1 million people could be forced to migrate within the country due to Israeli attacks
'INTERNATIONAL LAW' REMINDER FROM TURKEY
The statement emphasized that every crime committed by Israel is 'a blow to international law and the UN Charter.'
Noting that the attack targets the security and stability not only of countries in the region but also of countries outside the region, the statement recorded the following:
'It is highly probable that a new wave of migration will emerge as a result of this dangerous occupation attempt and that extremists will gain ground all over the world. It should not be forgotten that these developments will also affect the countries that provide political support and weapons to Israel.'
The statement pointed out that the primary step to be taken to establish calm in the region is 'ensuring an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza,' and reminded that bringing peace to Gaza is the responsibility of all humanity.

It is estimated that at least 100 thousand people have left their homes and fled to the north of the country and to Syria since last week in Lebanon
