Important messages came from leaders ahead of the historic summit in Switzerland, which was attended by representatives from the United States, Pakistan, Qatar, and Iran. In his statement, US Vice President JD Vance noted that efforts toward stability and cooperation in the Middle East have gained momentum. Vance summarized their goals by saying, "What we are trying to achieve here is quite simple: to transform the Middle East through diplomacy and cooperation."

It was noted that relations between the participating countries are moving away from long-standing issues and seeking common ground for peace and prosperity. Pointing out that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to transit and the termination of Iran's nuclear program "have already taken place," Vance said, "The question before us now is, how much more can we achieve together? Can we turn a new page? Can we permanently change relations in the Middle East? Or will we return to the old ways? That is not our preference, but it is a possible scenario."

The US Vice President underscored that, at the request of President Donald Trump, they desire a new beginning in relations with the Iranian people. Vance stated, "What the President has asked of us is to turn a new page in our relations with the Iranian people and to extend a hand to the Iranian people saying, 'if your leaders are willing to stop being a source of regional instability and abandon their long-term nuclear weapons goals, then the US is ready to fundamentally transform relations.'"

Stating that significant progress has been made in the last few hours, Vance emphasized that "great progress has been seen just in the last few hours" and noted that he expects "further progress." Stating that there has also been progress toward maintaining the ceasefire in Lebanon, Vance remarked, "We have built wonderful partnerships while working with our friends from Qatar, Pakistan, and Israel. We are all working for regional peace. Of course, there will be disagreements from time to time on exactly how to reach this goal, but I am truly very pleased with the point we have reached in Lebanon."

Emphasizing that peace always requires mutual sacrifice and effort, Vance highlighted the importance President Trump places not only on improving relations between the US and Iran but also on lasting peace throughout the entire region.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered special thanks to the leadership of US President Trump, appreciating "the visionary and highly dynamic leadership that made this meeting possible." Expressing that he expects significant results from the meeting, Sharif said, "I hope that when we return home, we will have a wonderful document in our hands that will support peace, progress, and prosperity worldwide."

Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stated that this agreement is critical not only for regional security but also for the global economy and world peace. Thanking all parties for their determination and leadership at the beginning of the process, Al Thani said, "Actually, this is not the real celebration; the celebration will be when we reach the final agreement. I hope this is just the beginning."
