Date for Putin's visit to Turkey has been set

Kremlin Foreign Policy Advisor Yury Ushakov made statements to journalists in the Russian city of St. Petersburg regarding current issues.

Responding to a question about whether Putin's visit to Turkey would take place in February, Ushakov said, "Yes, the visit is being prepared."

Ushakov shared that the Ukraine issue would be one of the main topics in the meeting between Putin and President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Evaluating reports in the Western press that Russia is ready for peace negotiations with Ukraine, Ushakov stated, "This is not true. We respond to requests from different countries by saying that we are ready for this. We have been ready for this from the beginning. We are not the ones who stopped these negotiations. We are ready for this, but there is no one to talk to because the Ukrainian side has banned itself from negotiating with the Russians."
