Day 9 of the war: Death toll rises in Israel's attacks on Iran

Iranian Deputy Minister of Health Abdurrahman Rustemiyan shared the latest situation regarding Israel's attacks on Iran. Rustemiyan announced that the number of civilians who lost their lives in the attacks has reached 430, and the number of injured has reached 3 thousand 500.

Responding to questions from members of the press at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran, Rustemiyan stated that the toll of the recent attacks has worsened. The Iranian official expressed that civilian casualties in the airstrikes carried out by Israel on Iran have reached serious proportions.

In a previous statement on June 15, the Iranian Ministry of Health had announced that 224 civilians had lost their lives and more than 1277 people had been injured in Israel's attacks.

HOW DID THE ISRAEL-IRAN WAR BEGIN?

On June 13, Israel launched a comprehensive air operation targeting nuclear facilities located in various cities across Iran, as well as military high command centers. The attacks have further escalated tensions in the region.

According to official information obtained from Iran, the Chief of General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, several high-ranking military officials, and 9 nuclear scientists lost their lives in the aforementioned attacks.

In addition to Israel striking military targets, the rise in civilian casualties has caused concern both among the Iranian public and in the international arena. The Tehran administration states that diplomatic and military responses to the attacks are ongoing.
