Denmark delays F-16 delivery to Ukraine
A report by the Danish newspaper Berlingske, citing a statement from the country's Ministry of Defense, provided the latest developments regarding the F-16s to be sent to Ukraine.
The report states that there will be a 6-month delay in the delivery of the aircraft that Denmark has donated to Ukraine, noting that the Ministry of Defense explained that factors contributing to the delays include the training of Ukrainian pilots, equipment status, and weather conditions.
The report emphasizes that the delivery date is contingent upon meeting various conditions, such as the successful completion of training by Ukrainian pilots and Ukraine having sufficient logistics and infrastructure for the maintenance of the F-16s, noting that some of these conditions have not yet been met for the delivery to take place.
The fighter jets, which were originally planned to be delivered after the start of the year, are now scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2024.
