Denmark introduces tax for air travelers

In November, Danish authorities proposed a tax on air travel averaging 100 Danish kroner ($14.35) to finance the green transition of the aviation sector. BTA writes that the goal is to use 100 percent sustainable fuel on all domestic flights in Denmark by 2030.

What are the plans of Europe's largest aircraft manufacturer?

The country's finance ministry said that by the end of the decade, the tax will reach approximately 50 Danish kroner ($7.35) per passenger on intra-European flights, 310 Danish kroner on medium-haul flights, and 410 Danish kroner on long-haul flights. Transit flights will be exempt from the fees.
