Did armed Kurdish groups cross into Iran? KRG responds to claims that have dominated the agenda

As US and Israeli attacks on Iran continue, allegations have emerged that the US may be arming certain Kurdish groups to incite an uprising against the regime in Iran.

Aziz Ahmed, an official from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister's Office, stated that reports claiming Iraqi Kurds had crossed the Iranian border to launch a ground operation do not reflect the truth.

"NOT A SINGLE IRAQI KURD HAS CROSSED THE BORDER"

Ahmed, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, stated in a post on the X social media platform, "Not a single Iraqi Kurd has crossed the border. These reports are completely baseless."

Meanwhile, according to BBC Monitoring, Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

During the call, the latest developments in the region were discussed, and it was reported that al-Araji expressed opposition to the escalation of military tensions and the expansion of the conflict. Al-Araji also called for the preservation of the region's security and stability.
