Donald Trump's alarming statement on Gaza and hostages
Although he has not yet officially taken office, the new US President Donald Trump is drawing attention with his statements. This time, Trump made a statement regarding Gaza and the hostages.
The new US President-elect Donald Trump threatened Hamas, stating, "If the hostages are not released before January 20, 2025, the date I proudly assume the US Presidency, there will be severe consequences in the Middle East and for those responsible who have committed these atrocities against humanity."
In a message posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump threatened Hamas and called for the release of the captives in the Gaza Strip. Trump said, "Everyone is talking about the hostages who are being held in the Middle East in such a violent, inhumane way, and against the will of the whole world. But it's all talk and no action. Please let this represent that if the hostages are not released before January 20, 2025, the date I proudly assume the US Presidency, there will be severe consequences in the Middle East and for those responsible who have committed these atrocities against humanity.
Those responsible will be hit harder than anyone has been hit in the long and storied history of the United States of America. Release the hostages immediately," he said.
It is estimated that there are 101 Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip. In a statement made by Hamas today, it was announced that 33 captives have lost their lives in Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 2023. Hamas demands that Israel withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip and end the war for the release of the captives.
More than 44 thousand Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, have lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
