Citizens in Argentina are heading to the polls today for the presidential election runoff.

Current Economy Minister Massa emerged as the winner of the first round, while far-right candidate Javier Milei, who received the highest number of votes in the primaries, took second place with 30.20 percent.

The candidate of the ruling "Peronist" alliance, current Economy Minister Sergio Massa, finished the first round in the lead with 36.26 percent. The candidate of the Liberty Advances (La Libertad Avanza) party and far-right figure Javier Milei took second place with 30.20 percent. The candidate of the main opposition coalition, Together for Change, Patricia Bullrich, came in 3rd in the rankings with 23.81 percent.

THEY ARE HEADING TO THE POLLS TODAY

The candidate of the We Do It for Our Country party, Cordoba Province Governor Juan Schiaretti, followed in the rankings with 7.04 percent, and the candidate of the Workers' Left Front, activist Myriam Bregman, followed with 2.66 percent. Thus, the winning candidate in the presidential election will be determined by the second round to be held today.

TURKEY'S RIVAL IN INFLATION

In Argentina, which is struggling with high inflation, the CPI increased by 8.3 percent in October. Thus, annual inflation reached 142.7 percent. 

In Turkey, the ENAGrup Consumer Price Index (E-CPI) increased by 5.09 percent in October. Thus, the 12-month increase in the E-CPI was 126.18 percent. The inflation rate for the January-October period of 2023 was 105.48 percent.
