Elon Musk responds to drug allegations with test results

In a post on the X platform, Elon Musk referred to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and the New York Times (NYT) and shared a drug test report with his followers showing that all results were "negative." Musk's report, dated June 11, also indicated a negative result for ketamine, a substance mentioned in NYT reports as being used "far more than previously known" in 2024.

Musk stated in his post: "The fake journalists at the WSJ and New York Times have been lying about me. Let's look at the drug test results now. They will be proven wrong." This post reached approximately 20 million views, received over 208 thousand likes, and garnered more than 16 thousand comments.

RESPONSE FROM THE NYT WAS SWIFT

The New York Times issued a written response to Musk's statements, saying, "Elon Musk continues to attack our reporting because he doesn't like it. Nothing he has said or presented since our article on his drug use during the presidential campaign was published contradicts what we uncovered. We stand by our journalism."

Last month, Musk also said in a post on his X account, "I do not use drugs! The New York Times is lying," and had previously admitted to using prescription ketamine. However, Musk emphasized that his current test results were negative for all substances, denying the allegations against him.
