EU leaders emphasize dialogue and unity for the future in Syria
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Bashar al-Assad's "cruel dictatorship" has collapsed, announcing that Europe is ready to support the reconstruction of a state in Syria that protects national unity and minorities.

"READY TO WORK FOR A BETTER FUTURE"
European Council President Antonio Costa stated, "The EU is ready to work with the Syrian people for a better future," while European Parliament (EP) President Roberta Metsola emphasized that subsequent steps must be taken within the framework of "dialogue, unity, respect for fundamental rights, and international law." The first reaction from the EU to the collapse of the Baath regime in Syria had come from High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
Kallas had announced that she welcomed the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime and was ready to work with all constructive partners in the region.
