European Parliament calls for Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps to be added to terror list
The European Parliament (EP) has called on the European Union (EU) leadership to include the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on its terror list.
In the resolution adopted at the EP General Assembly, members of parliament condemned Iran's attacks on Israel on April 13-14, while reiterating their support for Israel's security.
At the same time, the members of parliament, who "regretted" the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria, on April 1, which is widely attributed to Israel, called on all parties to refrain from further escalating tensions and to exercise maximum restraint.
MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT MADE THE DEMAND
While calling on the EU to urgently implement new sanctions against Iran, the members of parliament demanded that the Revolutionary Guard Corps be added to the terror list.
Yesterday, during a session attended by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, some members of parliament criticized him for not hardening his stance against Iran and demanded that all diplomatic relations with the country be severed.
