Explosion and fire at a factory in South Korea: Many dead and injured
An explosion followed by a fire at an automotive parts factory in the South Korean city of Daejeon has resulted in 14 deaths and 59 injuries.
South Korea has been the scene of a tragic accident. An explosion occurred for reasons yet to be determined at a factory producing automotive spare parts in the city of Daejeon. A fire broke out following the explosion, and numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The risk of the factory collapsing hindered firefighting efforts. While the flames were brought under control after hours of effort, local authorities announced that, according to initial findings, at least 14 people have lost their lives.
It was also noted that 59 people were injured, 25 of whom are in serious condition. A detailed investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
