Explosion at fireworks warehouse in India: 150 injured
At least 150 people were injured in a fire caused by an explosion in a shed containing fireworks during a festival at a temple in India's Kerala state.
An explosion occurred in a shed containing fireworks during a festival attended by hundreds of people at a temple in the Kasaragod district of India's southern Kerala state yesterday evening.
As flames spread due to the fire caused by the explosion, authorities stated that at least 150 people were injured in the incident.
Police announced that the injured were taken to nearby hospitals and that 10 people are in critical condition.
While an investigation into the incident has been launched by the police, temple officials have been taken into custody. It is estimated that the fire broke out after fireworks fell into the shed during the display.
