Eyes turn to November 5: 78 million people have voted early in the US
The early voting process, which began in some states across the US, ended as of Sunday evening. While early voting concluded on Sunday evening in many states, most notably New York, it was completed on Saturday afternoon in some others. However, early voting will continue until general election day in the states of Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington.
According to the latest data released by the University of Florida Election Lab, 78 million voters have cast their ballots early across the US. In a country with more than 240 million registered voters, more than 42 million of those who voted early did so in person at polling stations, while 35 million voters submitted their ballots by mail.

On the big election day, Tuesday, November 5, voting will begin across the US at 6:00 AM local time and will end at 9:00 PM in New York. Each state's voting hours vary within the framework of its own election rules. Presidential candidates will continue to reach out to voters by holding rallies in swing states until election day.
US ELECTION PROCESS: STEPS TO VOTING
Voters who wish to cast their ballots in the US elections first verify that they are registered in the system by showing their identification. Once the system registration is confirmed, ballots are printed for the voters, and they are directed to the booths. After marking their candidates, voters then load their ballots into scanner machines. The machines scan the ballot, store it in a secure compartment, and display a message on the screen confirming that the voting process has been successfully completed.
SPECIAL STICKERS AND PENS FOR EARLY VOTERS
The US Election Board gifted special stickers reading "I voted early" and pens to voters who cast their ballots early. Additionally, security forces stood guard 24/7 in front of every polling center throughout the voting process, and security measures were kept at the highest level.

Presidential candidates will continue their campaigns in swing states until election day. It has been reported that Republican candidate Donald Trump will follow election night at his campaign headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida. His rival, Kamala Harris, will spend election night at Howard University, where she graduated. It was stated that Harris will watch the results with her team at the university in Washington DC.
