Famous Russian YouTuber dies in traffic accident in Turkey

Tatyana Ozolina, a popular blogger known in Russia as "MotoTanya" who traveled the world on her motorcycle and had millions of followers on social media, has died in an accident in Turkey.

The accident occurred near the Milas district of Muğla, on the Milas-Söke highway. 38-year-old Tatyana Ozolina was riding with Turkish motorcycle blogger Onur Obut when their motorcycles collided. Ozolina passed away before an ambulance could reach the scene. The injured Onur Obut was taken to Milas State Hospital.

According to reports in the Russian media, Tatyana was traveling from İzmir to Bodrum with two Turkish motorcycle bloggers. Ozolina lost control and collided with a truck.

MotoTanya was one of Russia's most popular moto-bloggers, with 5 million subscribers on TikTok and 2 million on YouTube.

Representatives of the motorcycle community in Moscow announced Tatyana's death on social media with the following message: “MotoTanya is no longer with us. It is very sad to write this... A few hours ago, an accident occurred in Turkey in which the famous blogger Tatyana Ozolina lost her life. It was an interesting, bright, and beautiful life. Millions of people followed her. Perhaps there is not a single motorcyclist in the country who would remain indifferent to MotoTanya. She was admired, envied, liked, copied, awarded as the best blogger, and at the same time, both discussed and slandered. Everything. Now all that remains are memories.” 

Tatyana frequently went on trips to Russia and other countries. Three days before her death, she made her final post on social networks. She wrote, “4,000 km away from home. Greece let me pass, but it didn't let my motorcycle pass. Yes, I was in Greece on foot. I bought a magnet and returned to Turkey. I was sad that I couldn't tour Europe, but not too sad because I knew such a situation could happen... So I continued on my way. Conquering beautiful, warm, and hospitable Turkey.”

Tatyana turned 38 on March 6. The Russian woman has a 13-year-old son named Vsevolod.
