First statement from Hezbollah after Israel-Lebanon ceasefire! 'We will monitor with fingers on the trigger'

Hezbollah has issued its first statement following the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Lebanon.

The statement noted that Hezbollah members would monitor Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon with their fingers on the trigger, emphasizing that they remain fully prepared to counter any Israeli aggression.

The statement further claimed that Hezbollah forces had succeeded in achieving victory against Israel, striking their targets and defeating the Israeli army.

WE CONDUCTED 4,637 OPERATIONS AGAINST ISRAEL

Addressing the events during the resistance against Israel's attacks on Lebanon, the statement indicated that since October 8, 2023, when the conflict with Israel began in support of the Gaza Strip, more than 4,637 military operations had been carried out over 417 days, averaging 11 operations per day.

The statement noted that these operations included 1,666 various military operations since September 17, when Israel launched its large-scale offensive against Lebanon, averaging 23 operations per day.

Hezbollah's statement reported that these operations involved targeting Israeli army positions, barracks, and bases, as well as Israeli cities and settlements, from the Lebanese border to beyond the city of Tel Aviv, in addition to countering ground incursions by Israeli forces into Lebanese territory.

Pointing out that Israel has suffered more than 130 casualties and over 1,250 injuries since the day it announced the start of its ground offensive into southern Lebanon in early October, the statement noted that significant equipment losses were inflicted on Israeli forces entering Lebanon, including the downing of 9 unmanned aerial vehicles and the destruction of 59 tanks, 11 bulldozers, two Hummers, two armored vehicles, and two troop carriers.

The statement highlighted that these figures do not include Israel's losses in military bases, areas, barracks, settlements, and occupied cities.

In response to Israel's claim that it had succeeded through the current agreement in separating Hezbollah's support for Gaza, the statement asserted that Hezbollah continues to stand by the oppressed and the mujahideen in Palestine and in Jerusalem, the capital, which will remain a title and a path for generations dreaming of freedom and liberation.

The ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel went into effect yesterday at 04:00 local time (05:00 Turkish time).
