First statement from NATO following Rutte-Trump meeting

NATO has issued a statement regarding the closed-door meeting held between Secretary General Mark Rutte and US President Donald Trump at the White House.

NATO Spokesperson Allison Hart reported that the two leaders held a cordial discussion on various topics concerning the alliance's collective security, particularly Iran. RUTTE AND TRUMP HELD A CLOSED-DOOR MEETING

US President Donald Trump had held a closed-door meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House. Sharing a post on his social media account following the meeting, Trump wrote, "NATO was not there for us when we needed them, and if we need them again, they won't be there.
