Shocking confession from former Fenerbahçe player: 'I was caught with a woman at the national team camp'
Former Fenerbahçe footballer Max Kruse has revealed the health issues he faced and how a hotel scandal led to his exclusion from the World Cup squad during his appearance on the Big Brother program.
Former Germany national team and Fenerbahçe footballer Max Kruse has made headlines with his surprising revelations. The 36-year-old retired forward drew attention by participating in the 'Big Brother' program broadcast in Germany. The confessions he made during the show have resonated both in the football world and among viewers.
Kruse, who earned 14 caps for Germany and scored four goals, played over 300 matches for clubs such as Wolfsburg and Union Berlin. Now away from the pitch, the former star shared interesting details about his private life with the audience.
"HANSI FLICK CAUGHT ME"
The former footballer also confessed to an incident that occurred before a friendly match against England in London in 2013.
Kruse revealed that Hansi Flick and Oliver Bierhoff, who were part of the Germany national team's technical staff at the time, witnessed him being caught with a sex worker in his hotel room.
"During a poker game at the team hotel, someone suggested I call a woman to my room. I accepted the suggestion. I started talking to the woman in my room, and five minutes later, there was a knock at the door. It was Hansi Flick, the assistant coach, and team coordinator Oliver Bierhoff."
The footballer explained how Flick warned him after the incident:
"They told me, 'Send her away immediately, we will talk about this in the morning.' The next day, I received the warning: 'We are happy with your performance on the pitch, but you cannot do things like this. Either you focus entirely on your football, or you will not be in the World Cup squad.'"
"I WAS REMOVED FROM THE NATIONAL TEAM SQUAD"
Kruse stated that he heeded the warnings and behaved without issues for the rest of the season, but still found himself left out of the 2014 World Cup squad:
"Being left out of the World Cup squad hurt me deeply. It would have been wonderful to win the championship with that team. There were other footballers at the time who brought escorts to their hotel rooms, but perhaps they handled it more cleverly."
