France announces: 700 tons of humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza

According to a report by the daily newspaper Le Parisien published in France, Minister Colonna met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

700 TONS OF HUMANITARIAN AID TO BE DISPATCHED

In her speech at the press conference, Colonna emphasized the importance of ensuring a "continuous flow of aid" to Gaza, which is experiencing destruction due to Israeli attacks. Noting that her country will provide 700 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Colonna announced that half of this aid will depart from France's Le Havre Port tomorrow.

Colonna stated that the other half of the aid will be sent next week, and thus they will "triple the aid provided to Gaza within 10 days." Minister Colonna also met with the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Aroldo Lazaro, to discuss the tension on the Israel-Lebanon border.

COLONNA'S CONTACTS IN TEL AVIV AND RAMALLAH

Meeting with her Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen in Tel Aviv yesterday, Colonna reiterated her country's support for Israel and called for an "immediate and lasting" ceasefire. Colonna also met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and met with Palestinian olive producers in the village of Al-Mazra'a al-Qibliya who were driven from their lands and had their harvests seized by illegal Jewish settlers.

Describing the violation of Palestinians' rights by illegal Jewish settlements as "unacceptable," Colonna gave the message that "the necessary action will be taken."
