France bans Israeli officials from participating in Eurosatory defense fair
The French Ministry of Defense announced that Israel will not be permitted to set up a national pavilion or send government representatives to the Eurosatory defense fair to be held in Paris, while Israeli companies will only be allowed to exhibit air defense weapons at the event.
France has not approved Israel's participation in the Eurosatory defense fair, which will be held between June 15 and 19. The French Ministry of Defense announced that Israel will not be permitted to set up a national pavilion or send government representatives to the Eurosatory defense fair to be held in Paris.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed that France has banned Israeli officials from participating in the Eurosatory defense fair and from setting up a national pavilion, stating that Israeli companies have only been permitted to exhibit air defense weapons at the fair.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense described this decision as a "shameful decision based on political and commercial calculations," emphasizing that it is "directly contrary to established norms governing international defense fairs."
On the other hand, France had initially banned the participation of Israeli defense firms in the 2024 Eurosatory fair, but later backtracked on that decision. At the 2025 Paris Air Show, organizers had erected black partition walls around the stands of Israeli companies exhibiting offensive weapon systems.
