Fuel sales restrictions in that country
Due to the impact of uncertainties in energy markets and bottlenecks in the logistics chain, the Slovenian government has imposed a daily upper limit on fuel purchases for individual consumers.
Due to the negative effects of tensions in the Middle East on global energy markets, the Slovenian administration is implementing a new restriction to guarantee fuel supply in the domestic market. Accordingly, individual consumers in the country will be able to purchase a maximum of 50 liters of fuel per day, while commercial enterprises and farmers will be limited to 200 liters per day.
A statement from government sources indicated that an emergency plan has been put into effect to overcome fluctuations in global energy supply and blockages in distribution chains. Authorities have deployed the Slovenian Armed Forces to quickly eliminate logistical obstacles. Military transport teams and personnel will actively participate in the safe and rapid delivery of fuel to stations across the country.
The newly adopted measures will be effective starting tomorrow and will remain in place until a second decision is announced. According to the government, strategic fuel reserves are being kept at full capacity, and all logistical steps are being coordinated to mitigate the risk of potential shortages.
To prevent economic turmoil from causing further problems in the supply chain, an "extraordinary situation" has been declared in rail transport, and absolute priority on railway lines has been granted to trains supplying fuel to the domestic market. The Slovenian Ministry of Infrastructure has also been granted full authority to accelerate distribution processes.
Meanwhile, all distribution companies, primarily the country's largest oil firm in which the public holds a 32.3 percent stake, have been called upon to reduce delivery times to the shortest possible duration.
The government emphasized that with these decisions, national energy security will be protected and the public's daily needs will continue to be met.
