In addition to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, high-ranking civilian and military officials attended the ceremony in the capital.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led the funeral prayer at the Tehran University campus.

Thousands of people who wanted to enter the prayer area, which was restricted to a limited number of attendees, waited at the university gate.

After the prayer, a large crowd also gathered in Revolution Square (Enghelab Square) next to the university and on the roads leading to the area.

Following the ceremony in Tehran, Ismail Haniyeh will be laid to rest tomorrow in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

"THE ATTACK WAS CARRIED OUT WITH US COORDINATION"

Delivering a speech before the funeral prayer, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf claimed that the assassination of Haniyeh was carried out with US coordination.

Praising Haniyeh's struggle for Palestine, Ghalibaf stated, "We know that this attack took place with the support and coordination of the US. It is our duty to respond to this murder at the right time and place."
