First photos from the island where the Epstein scandal took place! 'Chilling scene'
Democratic members of the U.S. House Oversight Committee have released previously unseen images from Epstein's private island, which became the center of allegations regarding the abuse of dozens of young girls.
As debates surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case continue, new information that could affect the course of the investigation is emerging.
IMAGES RELEASED BY THE COMMITTEE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Democrats serving on the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability have released photos and videos for the first time of the private island known as Little Saint James, where Epstein kept children he had recruited into his sex trafficking ring.
POST FROM GARCIA
Democratic Representative Robert Garcia shared the images of the island via the committee's X (Twitter) account.
“A CHILLING SIGHT”
The statement accompanying the post read, "Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have received never-before-seen photos and videos of Jeffrey Epstein's private island. These are a chilling look behind Epstein's closed doors. See for yourself. We will not stop fighting until we end this cover-up and get justice for the survivors."
SNAPSHOTS OF THE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM
The posts, which also include some videos, contain various clips of the bedroom and bathroom areas.
DETAILS FROM INSIDE THE ISLAND
Details regarding different areas on the island stand out in the released photos. One of the images shows an examination chair similar to those found in dental clinics, while another frame features a phone with labels such as "NY Office, Rich Office, Mike Cell, Patrick Cell."
Located in the U.S. Virgin Islands and consisting of Little Saint James and Great Saint James, the island of Little Saint James remained in Epstein's possession from 1998 until his death in 2019. During this period, the island was known among locals as "Epstein Island," "Sin Island," and "Pedophile Island."
VISITORS FROM POLITICS AND THE BUSINESS WORLD
The guests Epstein hosted on the island over the years included politicians and business people. Names mentioned in the case files included Prince Andrew, former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
STEPS TOWARD OPENING THE FILES
The bill providing for the release of the Epstein documents, which the world public has long been waiting for the results of, has been approved in both chambers of Congress, which is majority Republican.
STATEMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on November 19 that the bill had passed Congress and that the relevant files would be released within 30 days. U.S. President Donald Trump also signed the bill, paving the way for all documents regarding Epstein to be made public.
THE EPSTEIN SCANDAL
Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing many girls, the youngest being 14, and running a sex trafficking ring, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019. In a joint investigation conducted by the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice, it was announced that no evidence was found regarding the alleged "client list" and that, contrary to claims that Epstein was murdered to protect government officials or famous names, the conclusion was reached that he committed suicide in his cell.
