Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded from the Kremlin to the US, which is preparing to sign a rare earth metals deal with Ukraine.
The Russian leader emphasized that Russia's reserves in this field are far greater than Ukraine's, stating, "We are ready to cooperate with any foreign partner, including Americans."
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also stated in his remarks today that Russia possesses vast rare earth metal deposits and has its own plans to develop them.
However, Peskov added, "When the moment of political will arrives, we can also cooperate with the US."
US-UKRAINE DEAL ON THE AGENDA
On the other hand, it has been reported that US President Donald Trump is preparing to sign a deal with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding rare earth metals.
The Washington administration aims to gain access to Ukraine's mineral resources under this agreement. Trump said he could invite Zelenskyy to the White House to sign the deal.
Putin, while drawing attention to the value of the rare metals in Russia's possession, also referred to the regions of Ukraine that have come under Russian control, stating, "We are ready to attract foreign partners to our new territories."
