Tensions remain high in Syria: Claims that 'PKK/YPG leader Mazlum Abdi was killed by his bodyguard'

The claim that Mazlum Abdi Şahin, known as the head of the structure called "SDF" used by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in Syria, was assassinated has become a trending topic on social media since the morning hours.

According to some local sources, Abdi was shot and killed by an unidentified close bodyguard.

A detail that makes the assassination claim regarding Mazlum Abdi even more striking is the trilateral summit that took place in Damascus in recent days.

The secret meeting held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on July 13 was attended by the US Special Envoy for Syria and Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack, so-called SDF Commander Mazlum Abdi, and Syrian President Ahmed Shara.

It was alleged that an agreement was reached at the meeting to dissolve the SDF forces and integrate them into the Shara regime. The details of the agreement were not reflected to the public.
