Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip, which it launched on October 7, without interruption.
While Israeli bombardment in the region targets civilians, thousands of Palestinians, most of them children and women, are losing their lives.
In a statement made by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, it was reported that 34 Palestinians lost their lives and 68 others were injured in 3 attacks carried out on the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.
The statement also noted that due to the attacks, which have been ongoing for 206 days, the death toll has risen to 34,488 and the number of injured has reached 77,643.
THERE IS 37 MILLION TONS OF DEBRIS
In a statement made by the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), it was reported that there are 37 million tons of debris on the streets of the Gaza Strip and that clearing it could take more than 10 years.
Federico Dessi, Middle East Director of the non-governmental organization Humanity & Inclusion, which operates in the region, stated that between 50,000 and 100,000 bombs were dropped on the Gaza Strip within 6 months.
Dessi said, "14 percent of these bombs did not explode. This means we are talking about potentially 10,000 or more unexploded bombs, shells, and mortar rounds."
