In a statement from the Chancellery, it was stated that during the phone call held today between Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the two discussed what could be done to further stabilize the ceasefire in Gaza.
The statement noted that the two leaders agreed that humanitarian aid must reach the people of Gaza in a safe and sufficient manner.
It was also noted that Hamas must immediately hand over the bodies of the remaining hostages.
