Hamas announces: No exchange of soldier prisoners until attacks end and blockade is lifted

Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official, stated in an interview with the Al-Mayadeen television channel, known for its proximity to Lebanon's Hezbollah, that efforts to extend the "humanitarian pause" have not yet matured and that they do not find the proposals presented to them so far worthy of consideration.

STATED THAT A CEASEFIRE IS NOT ENOUGH

Stating that "there can be no talk of exchanging Israeli soldier prisoners until the aggression against Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted," Hamdan emphasized that the resistance has prepared itself for all possibilities after the "humanitarian pause" ends. Hamdan said, "A ceasefire is not enough for us. On the contrary, the occupying forces must withdraw from Gaza and the attacks must end."

An agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas for a 4-day "humanitarian pause" in the clashes in Gaza on November 24 as part of a prisoner exchange. This agreement was later extended for 2 days.

LATEST STATUS ON PRISONER EXCHANGE

The prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas continues. Hamas has handed over 16 hostages to Red Cross teams. Hamas also announced that it is ready to release all Israeli hostage soldiers in exchange for the release of all Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.
