Hamas calls for global protests

Hamas has called on the entire world to protest to draw attention to the hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip. In a statement released by Hamas, it said, "We call upon the Islamic Ummah and all free people of the world: We urge you to continue solidarity and mass actions against the Zionist aggression, genocide, and starvation policies targeting more than 2 million people under siege in the Gaza Strip."

Hamas called for global protests against the occupation and its supporters on August 15, 16, and 17, using the phrase, "We will continue these actions until the attacks stop, border crossings are opened, and humanitarian aid is delivered immediately." Requesting that large-scale solidarity actions be organized to commemorate journalists who lost their lives in Israeli attacks, Hamas added, "We condemn the occupation's crimes against Palestinian journalists."

"REJECT THE SILENCE"

"We reiterate our call in the face of war criminal Netanyahu and his fascist gang's insistence on policies of siege, bombing, and starvation against defenseless civilians," Hamas stated, adding, "Increase mass actions in all cities, capitals, and public squares on the specified days, condemn Zionist aggression and the support the US provides to this aggression, and reject international silence. Expose the crimes of genocide and starvation by organizing protests in front of Zionist and American embassies, as well as in front of the embassies of all countries that support the occupation, and stand up for the rights of our people."

Hamas called on the international community to mobilize all means of pressure to ensure the immediate opening of border crossings and to allow the entry of medicine, water, food, and all aid into the Gaza Strip.
