Hamas delivers its response regarding the ceasefire to Egypt and Qatar

The statement, which emphasized that the response was delivered following consultations with Hamas leaders and other Palestinian factions, noted the following:

"Hamas has responded positively to the proposal in a way that will guarantee a full and comprehensive ceasefire, end the attacks against our people, lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip to ensure reconstruction, and complete the prisoner exchange process."

The statement also expressed appreciation for the initiatives of Qatar and Egypt, as well as other countries striving to stop Israel's attacks on Gaza.

Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in an interview in Washington on January 28 that negotiations were held in Paris, France, with officials from the US, Israel, Egypt, and Qatar regarding a ceasefire and prisoner exchange in Gaza.

White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby also stated in an interview with the American channel MSNBC that a framework had been formed regarding the ceasefire and prisoner exchange negotiated between US, Qatari, Egyptian, and Israeli officials in Paris, and that concrete progress had been made, particularly regarding the prisoner exchange.

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh had announced that they received an invitation to visit Cairo to discuss the "framework agreement" that emerged from the Paris meeting and the articles regarding its implementation.

Haniyeh had stated, "Hamas's response to the proposal that emerged from the Paris meeting will be based primarily on the cessation of the brutal aggression against Gaza and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip."
