Hamas leader expresses satisfaction with 'Kuvay-i Milliye' comparison

Stating that "Turkey has historical ties to the Palestinian cause due to its regional and Islamic position, and that Erdoğan's remarks regarding Hamas, Gaza, and the Palestinian cause reflect the conscience of the Turkish people, who view the Palestinian cause as their own, address Gaza from a humanitarian perspective, and stand against oppression," Haniyeh said that "all efforts must be united to stop the attacks of the Zionists, who remain standing with US support."

Using the expression, "President Erdoğan's statement at the Justice and Development Party's parliamentary group meeting, which defined Hamas as a 'national liberation movement' and compared it to the Kuvay-i Milliye (National Forces), is undoubtedly a source of pride for us and the Palestinian people," Haniyeh said, "Hamas is a movement that resists to liberate our lands, our sacred values, and our people from historical occupation."

"WE ARE WATCHING CLOSELY"

Haniyeh said, "We still remember how Erdoğan responded to Shimon Peres during his address at the UN by holding up the map of Palestine and explaining how Palestine was occupied in stages."

Stating that they always follow the defense of Palestine's rights with pride, Haniyeh used the expressions, "We are closely and importantly monitoring Turkey's position in the region, its regional and international politics, and its stance on the Palestinian cause and Gaza."

Saying, "We still remember how the Turkish people gave martyrs on the Mavi Marmara for the lifting of the blockade on Gaza," Haniyeh added that Turkey maintains a unified stance regarding the Palestinian cause and the Gaza blockade.

Using the expressions, "In our meeting with President Erdoğan, we heard about the decisions taken regarding trade restrictions with Israel and the effects of these decisions on commercial activity," Haniyeh stated, "This is an important step taken against the Zionist enemy, which sheds the blood of Palestinian women, children, and the elderly in its attacks on Gaza, threatens a ground offensive on Rafah for major massacres, and disregards the sacred sites of Muslims, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem."
