Hamas rejects 'forced displacement project'

Hamas issued a written statement on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The statement called for the protection of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the cessation of the massacres and genocide committed by Israel against civilians, and the prosecution of the perpetrators.

INTERNATIONAL MESSAGE

Pointing out that Israel has been attacking and violating the rights of Palestinians for over 70 years, the statement expressed that celebrating Human Rights Day in the shadow of these attacks constitutes a clear violation of the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international law.

The statement emphasized that the political, moral, and humanitarian responsibility to stop the genocide in Gaza and to file cases in international courts to prosecute the perpetrators as war criminals lies with the international community.

In the statement, which reaffirmed Hamas's commitment to all the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including "freedom, independence, the right to self-determination, comprehensive liberation, and the right of return to their homeland," it was underscored that all settlement projects, the policy of forced displacement, extremism, and the abandonment of inalienable rights are rejected.

Hamas called on the UN, international organizations, and the public to "end the policy of double standards and ensure justice for the legitimate rights and just cause of the Palestinian people."
