Hamas sets 3 conditions for Israel for prisoner exchange!

According to a statement on Hamas's Telegram account, Hamas Political Bureau member Khalil al-Hayya made remarks to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera Television regarding the release of Israeli hostages.

"THERE ARE 3 COSTS FOR THE RETURN OF HOSTAGES"

Al-Hayya stated, "There are three costs for the return of Israeli hostages (to their countries). The first is providing aid to our people and allowing them to return to their normal lives. The second is stopping the attacks (on the Gaza Strip). The third is a real prisoner exchange that will ensure the release of our 10 thousand detainees in Israeli prisons."

Noting that Israel refuses to withdraw from the Gaza Strip or any part of it, does not allow displaced persons to return, and has not given any sign of approval for ending the attacks, al-Hayya continued his remarks as follows:

"(Israel) has not yet provided any guarantee that sufficient aid will arrive, or that hospitals, bakeries, and infrastructure will be repaired. Israel has not even given clear and explicit approval for sheltering in tents. So what are we going to agree on? Israel is trying to change the truth by claiming that Hamas's demands are excessive or by saying other things."

Hamas Political Bureau member al-Hayya stated that Israel is trying to prolong the war with "lies and hopes it cannot reach," pointing out that Netanyahu is not serious about reaching an agreement that would end the attacks after this long offensive, ensure aid reaches the Palestinian people, and remove Israel from Gaza.

A meeting was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, on February 13 as part of a new prisoner exchange agreement between the Tel Aviv administration and Hamas.

No results came out of the meeting, which was attended by officials from Israel, as well as the US, Qatar, and Egypt.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had refused to send a delegation to the prisoner exchange negotiations in Cairo, which would have been attended by low-level officials, following that meeting.

In a statement on February 17, Netanyahu had said, "So far, Hamas's demands only indicate Israel's defeat. Obviously, we cannot accept these conditions, but we can make progress when Hamas backs down from these delusional demands."
