Hamas: We are committed to the ceasefire agreement
Hamas's West Bank official, Zaher Jabarin, stated in a television interview that Hamas remains committed to the ceasefire agreement reached with Israel through regional and international mediation, and that the reconstruction process for the Gaza Strip will begin.
Jabarin said, "As a movement, we are committed to the implementation of the agreement that guarantees the cessation of the war, the protection of our people from attacks, and the start of reconstruction. We do not accept any international guardianship over our people."
Emphasizing that it is now time for the Palestinian people to be granted the right to self-determination and to establish their independent state, Jabarin noted the following:
"Today, the world is facing a real test. Those who want to bring peace to the region must implement a common position of the international community, ensure the establishment of the State of Palestine, and resolve the issue of prisoners by ensuring the release of all remaining detainees without further war."
Jabarin called for the international prosecution of Israeli leaders, primarily Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, due to the genocide and human rights violations committed in the Gaza Strip.
