Hamas: We confirm our willingness
In a letter sent to the Arab League, Hamas stated, "We confirm our willingness to complete the remaining phases of the ceasefire agreement, which will result in a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, and the lifting of the blockade."
The first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas ended as of today.
While uncertainty persists regarding the subsequent phases of the agreement, Hamas sent a letter to the Arab League.
In the letter, which conveyed the message that they are "ready to move to the next phases," it was stated, "We confirm our willingness to complete the remaining phases of the ceasefire agreement, which will result in a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, and the lifting of the blockade."
Emphasizing that no foreign power should be present in the Gaza Strip, Hamas stated in its letter, "We categorically reject any attempt to impose any non-Palestinian project or form of governance, or the presence of any foreign power on the territory of the Gaza Strip."
Arab League countries will hold a summit in Egypt on Tuesday regarding the "post-war governance of Gaza."
