U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris entered her first visit to the campaign headquarters in Delaware to the accompaniment of Beyoncé's song "Freedom."
Harris's team stated that they received approval from Beyoncé's representatives to use the song throughout the presidential campaign.
The source added that Beyoncé, known for having strict permission rules regarding her music, gave approval quickly when the Harris campaign requested permission to use the song "Freedom" on Monday – just hours before Harris walked out to the song.
At the same time, according to CBS News, Vice President Kamala Harris has managed to secure the support of enough Democratic Party delegates to become the presidential nominee.
According to a survey conducted by the AP, Harris has received the support of more than 1,976 delegates required to become the nominee in the first round of voting.
The support declared by the delegates is not binding. However, if the delegates do not change their minds at the convention to be held on August 1-7, Harris will officially become the party's presidential nominee.
