Harsh words from Trump to Cuba: 'It hit rock bottom'

U.S. President Donald Trump has increased his negative messaging toward Cuba with a new statement made via his social media account. Cuba, which the U.S. administration has been pressuring with an economic blockade for months, has once again come to the forefront as a target for Trump.

In his post, Trump stated, "No Republican has told me anything about Cuba; yet Cuba is a failed country and it is heading in one direction: to the bottom! Cuba is asking for help, and we will talk!!!" The President also noted that he will be paying an official visit to China in the coming days, adding, "In the meantime, I am going to China!"

While Cuba is experiencing a severe oil shortage due to the economic restrictions imposed by the United States, it is reported that despite the difficulties in the country, the public's support for the socialist government continues. According to the U.S. press, the Trump administration is not satisfied with this situation in Latin America and is keeping military options on the table should Cuba not experience an internal collapse.

In a previous assessment, Trump had hinted at military intervention with his words, "we send an aircraft carrier, and they say 'okay, thank you, we surrender'."
