Heavy toll in the Gaza Strip: Death toll rises to 14,532

The Media Office of the government in Gaza stated in a post on its Telegram account regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip on the 47th day of the attacks that 69 percent of those killed in Gaza since October 7 consist of women and children.

MORE THAN 6,000 ARE CHILDREN

The statement indicated that the number of people who died in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has increased by 404 since yesterday, rising to 14,532. It was noted that more than 6,000 of the deceased are children and approximately 4,000 are women.

The statement reported that 7,000 people, more than 4,700 of whom are women and children, are missing, either under the rubble of buildings destroyed in Israeli attacks or with their bodies remaining in the streets. It was emphasized that Israel has killed 205 healthcare workers, 25 civil defense personnel, and 64 journalists in the Gaza Strip in 47 days.

The statement, which reported that the number of injured has exceeded 35,000, stated that more than 75 percent of these are women and children.

45,000 HOUSING UNITS DESTROYED

It was noted that 102 public buildings were destroyed in Israeli attacks, 266 schools were damaged, and 67 of them were rendered out of service.

The statement conveyed that Israel has completely destroyed 85 mosques with its attacks and damaged 174 mosques and 3 churches. Pointing out that the number of destroyed housing units in the Gaza Strip has reached 45,000, the statement indicated that 233,000 housing units were damaged, meaning that more than 60 percent of the housing units in the Gaza Strip have been damaged in Israeli attacks.

Emphasizing that Israel deliberately targets hospitals, the statement expressed that 26 hospitals and 55 health centers in the Gaza Strip have been rendered out of service, 56 ambulances have been made unusable, and dozens more are unable to provide service due to fuel shortages.

HEALTH CENTERS ARE BEING TARGETED

It was noted that Israel's policy of targeting hospitals and health centers and killing health personnel continues as part of its war on hospitals to deliberately eliminate the health sector.

The statement, which holds Israel and the international community fully responsible for the crimes committed in the Gaza Strip and in hospitals, called on the "free" countries of the world to liberate the hospitals and to exert pressure to stop this war and these crimes completely.
