Hezbollah condemns Trump's assassination threat against Khamenei

In a written statement from Hezbollah, reported by Lebanon's official news agency NNA, Trump's remarks regarding Khamenei were described as "madness and irresponsibility," with the group emphasizing that the threat is an open insult to both the Iranian people and the Islamic world.

Hezbollah warned that the assassination threat, which it characterized as "vile and reckless rhetoric," could lead to "grave consequences."

The statement declared, "This threat is condemned and rejected in the strongest possible terms."

Pointing to the US support for Israel's attacks on Gaza and resistance movements in the region, the statement assessed that this support is "dragging Washington into a deep abyss."

US President Trump had used harsh language toward Iranian leader Khamenei in a post on his Truth Social account.

Threatening Khamenei, Trump stated, "We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but he is safe there. We will not eliminate him, at least for now. Our patience is running out."
