In a town in France, houses have been put up for sale for just 1 euro (34.84 TL).
Programs implementing plans to attract tourists to the region aim to help reverse declining populations.
Following the repeated implementation of this program by Italian towns, a town in France has now launched a 1-euro house program.
"MUST BE A SERIOUS CANDIDATE"
Francis Blondieau, Deputy in Charge of Urban Planning for the town of approximately 9,000 residents, stated, "The new owner of the house must be a serious candidate who plans to live in Saint-Amand-Montrond and truly wants to settle there. According to the report in Habertürk, this system aims to encourage the renovation of old buildings, reduce the number of vacant dwellings, and above all, revitalize the city center."
Applications, which began on April 1, will continue until June 15.
Those who wish to apply must include detailed information regarding their plans and financing in their applications.
Applications can be made via the link on the municipality's website.
