How Chinese President Xi welcomed US President Trump

We should be partners, not rivals. In the new era, we should help each other succeed, develop together, and find a reasonable way for great powers to get along with each other." Xi added, "Mr. President, I look forward to working with you to determine the course of China-US relations to make 2026 a turning point, and to our discussions on major issues that are important to our countries and the world."

US President Donald Trump began his remarks by thanking Xi.
