Husband kills Miss Switzerland finalist: 'Pureed her in a blender'
It has been revealed that a former Miss Switzerland finalist was strangled to death by her husband, dismembered, and "pureed" in a blender.
38-year-old Kristina Joksimovic was found murdered in her home in Binningen, near the Swiss city of Basel.
Her 41-year-old husband, identified only as "Thomas," was taken into custody, but his appeal for release was rejected by a federal court in Lausanne after he confessed to the murder.
As reported by T24 from the Swiss news agency BZ Basel, as new details about the murder have come to light, "concrete signs of mental illness" have also been observed.
While the model's husband and father of her two daughters confessed to killing his wife, he claimed that she had previously attacked him with a knife and that he did it in self-defense. However, authorities determined that there was no evidence of self-defense and that the cause of death was strangulation.
According to the autopsy report obtained by the newspaper, Joksimovic's body was subsequently dismembered using a jigsaw, a knife, and garden shears. The report stated that some parts of her body were shredded with a hand blender to be "pureed" and dissolved in a chemical solution.
Thomas was arrested one day after the body was found and claimed that he had found his wife dead and dismembered her in the laundry room in a panic.
It was stated that the investigation is ongoing.
