New York Attorney General Letitia James stated that if former US President Donald Trump does not pay the fine he received for fraud, his assets could be seized.
Trump was fined 354.9 million dollars (approximately 10 billion 9450 million lira) in the case where he was tried for fraud in the real estate sector in New York.
New York Attorney General James spoke about the case. According to the report by Voice of America Turkish, James said that if Trump does not pay this fine, his assets in New York could be seized.
James said, "If he does not have the funds to pay the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets."
TRUMP DOES NOT ACCEPT
Trump is accused of misleading credit institutions and insurance companies by overvaluing his assets and obtaining loans under more favorable conditions. As he has done since the beginning of the court process, Trump denied all accusations and announced that he would appeal the decision. James argued that the case was based on extremely strong evidence.
