In Iraq, Iran-backed group raids Saudi Arabian television channel

In Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, a group supporting Iran-backed militia structures raided the building of the Saudi Arabian-owned MBC television channel.

The group protested a broadcast on the channel that allegedly targeted Iran-backed groups. The angry crowd raided the building, damaging some equipment and setting fire to the building's outer door.

Mustafa Sened, a member of parliament close to Iran-backed militia groups, stated that the matter would not end with the burning of the channel and that he would file a complaint to have its broadcasting license in Iraq revoked.
