Iran defies Trump's threat!

Speaking to reporters during the Diplomacy Forum held in Antalya, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed his reaction to US President Donald Trump's remarks that he could launch a new attack if a new agreement is not reached with Iran. Criticizing the US President's statements as excessive, Khatibzadeh remarked, "He talks too much."

Arguing that there are contradictions in Trump's statements, Khatibzadeh pointed out that the messages from the US administration are unclear, saying, "I don't know exactly what he means."

Emphasizing that the Iranian side believes no war will yield positive results, Khatibzadeh stated that his country would not take a step back from defense in the event of a possible attack. Reiterating Iran's determination, Khatibzadeh declared, "We will fight to the last Iranian soldier."

On the other hand, Khatibzadeh stated that a conflict would harm the region and further alienate the parties. However, he sent a message that if Iran perceives a threat to its national sovereignty, it will use all its resources.

US President Donald Trump, in a recent statement, had signaled that military operations against Iran could be back on the agenda if an agreement on the desired terms is not reached. Emphasizing that the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz continues, Trump had said, "Maybe I won't extend it, but our blockade (in Hormuz) continues. So you are under blockade, and unfortunately, we will have to bomb again."
