Iran shoots down US cruise missile
The Iranian Army announced that a US-made cruise missile and an unmanned aerial vehicle were destroyed by air defense systems in the western regions of the country.
In a recent statement issued by the Iranian Armed Forces, it was reported that air defense units were actively engaged along the western borders and that a US MQ-9 type unmanned aerial vehicle, as well as a cruise missile belonging to the United States, were targeted and shot down.
It was also stated that a spy drone was neutralized by air defense elements in the skies over Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, a different province in Iran. The statement emphasized that all necessary measures against such threats would be taken and that the protection of the airspace would continue.
