Iran strikes 10 oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz: Under war conditions

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it has struck 10 oil tankers that "attempted to pass through the Strait without heeding warnings" following the declaration of a "transit ban" in the Strait of Hormuz since the start of US-Israeli attacks. The attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28 have turned the world upside down.

Iran's response to the US and Israel, which have carried out attacks on numerous Iranian cities, primarily Tehran, has been harsh. Iran, which has launched attacks on Israel and US bases in regional countries, has also effectively locked down oil trade by closing the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement made by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps the other day, the phrase "We will target every ship that attempts to pass" was used.

"WE STRUCK 10 OIL TANKERS"

Following the decision to close the Strait, Iran carried out attacks on oil tankers that attempted to pass despite the warnings. In a report by the semi-official Fars News Agency based on a statement from the Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was stated that despite repeated warnings that the Strait of Hormuz was not safe, more than 10 oil tankers that did not heed these warnings were struck with various munitions and rendered inoperable.

The report stated that the Strait of Hormuz is under war conditions and that there is a possibility of damage to ships from missiles or stray unmanned aerial vehicles, and therefore ships should not pass through this region.
