Iranian state television IRIB also announced that Iran had initiated a military operation against the US base in Qatar. Iran announced the launch of an operation dubbed 'Great Conquest Tidings,' targeting US military bases in Qatar and Iraq.

The official Iranian news agency announced that Iran had carried out a missile attack on a base in Iraq in addition to the US base in Qatar.

In a statement issued by the Iranian National Security Council, it was stated, '(The attack on the US base) This action does not pose any danger to the friendly and brotherly country of Qatar.'

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Al-Udeid (US) Base, which was targeted by Iran, had been evacuated as a precaution prior to the attack.

IRAN: US BASE IN QATAR DESTROYED

Iran announced that it had launched a missile attack on the US Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar in retaliation for the US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, and that the base had been "destroyed."

In a statement from the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, it was stated: "In response to the aggressive and insolent act of the US against Iran's nuclear facilities, the US Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar was destroyed by Iran's powerful armed forces a few hours ago."

The statement noted that the number of missiles used in the attack was the same as the number of bombs the US used in its attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The statement, which indicated that the base is located far from facilities and residential areas in Qatar and that no damage was caused to areas outside the base, included the following: "This action does not pose any danger to our friendly and brotherly country of Qatar and its noble people, and Iran is determined to maintain its sincere and historical relations with Qatar."
